The Three Types of Metrics in Atrium
-
Core Metrics: These are the standard metrics included with Atrium, ready to use from day one.
-
Popular Custom Metrics: Custom metrics that have been found broadly useful and can be easily configured for your org.
-
Fully Custom Metrics: Tailored metrics you define, including those leveraging custom fields unique to your Salesforce setup.
Customize Your Metric Rollout
You can tailor the rollout of custom metrics to ensure they're only visible to the employees for whom they matter most. This customization is achieved through our Metrics Priorities system. Note: If that link doesn't work for you, you may not have the proper permissions to access Metrics Priorities.
Defining Metrics Priorities
The purpose of Atrium is for you to define, track, and act on your team's most important performance KPIs. These can differ for various roles, segments, and teams. Metrics priorities tell you which KPIs you want to focus on in specific performance conversations.
For any segment or discipline (e.g., SMB AE, Mid-Market, Enterprise, SMB SDR, Account Manager), you can define priorities for each KPI in the system, both out-of-box and custom metrics. There are four priority choices:
-
Tier 1 - Sales Coach: These are the top 5-10 metrics per role you want to include in AI-driven sales coaching conversations.
-
Tier 2 - Alerts: These metrics are important enough to trigger alerts (anomalies) in alert feeds, insights, and self/peer anomalies. However, they are not included in sales coaching conversations.
-
Tier 3 - Secondary: These metrics matter to your organization but are low priority. You want access to them but do not need trend or peer alerts, as they might be confusing or provide false signals.
- Tier 4 - Hidden Metrics: These metrics do not matter to your organization and should be completely hidden from view.
It's crucial to tune Atrium to focus on the metrics you care about most (5-10 per role) to ensure your team receives signal, not noise. Customizing Atrium will make Sales Coach more effective and relevant for your organization.
