Atrium offers two types of licensing models for organizations: User-based and Legacy. This guide will walk you through managing user access and licenses within your Atrium organization.
Understanding License Types
- User License: This is Atrium's active pricing model where you pay for individual seats.
- Legacy License: This Atrium's previous pricing model where you pay for manager seats.
Accessing User Management
- Log in to your Atrium account.
- Click on your name in the top right corner.
- Hover over "Company".
- Click on "Employee Org Chart".
Managing User Access
For Organizations with User Licenses
- Locate the user you want to modify in the user list.
- Find the "Atrium Access" section for that user.
- Click "Edit" to change the user's access type.
Access Types
- Full Access: User can view and interact with all content in Atrium. This counts as a paid seat.
- Limited Access: User can only access content they've been specifically invited to or shared with. This is an unpaid seat.
- No Access: User is blocked from accessing any content in Atrium. This is an unpaid seat.
Upgrading a User to Full Access
- Select "Full" from the access type options.
- You'll see a message warning that this change will result in billing for the seat.
- Click "Upgrade" to confirm the change.
This alert will show on the top right hand side of your screen to confirm the settings have been saved.
Note: When you upgrade a user to "Full" access, an email notification will be sent to Atrium's finance team and the Atrium account owner.
For Organizations with Legacy Licenses
If your organization is on the legacy pricing model, you may be restricted from upgrading users to full access. Contact support (support@atriumhq.com) to learn how your organization can adopt the updated pricing model.
The alert you will see if your organization is still on legacy pricing.
Additional Information
- Admin access is separate from user management and you'll need to contact support@atriumhq.com to add or adjust an admin seat.
- The Atrium team is working on features to display user access types on the main "Employee Org Chart" page and allow bulk editing of user access.
