Introducing Performance Check-Ins in Atrium! Now live in your Atrium instance–see it now.
Overview
Performance Check-Ins is a powerful new feature within Atrium, designed to help sales managers and reps maintain a consistent rhythm of performance management, coaching, and accountability.
By providing a structured way to regularly review both goal-related metrics and other key performance insights, Performance Check-Ins ensures that performance management is proactive and consistent.
Sales leaders who oversee managers are particularly excited about this feature because they want their managers to consistently engage in these crucial activities. Leaders are also excited because Performance Check-Ins finally give their teams Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) and promotion documentation before they need it - eliminating the scramble to gather performance records after the fact.
They understand it can be challenging for managers to remember, prioritize, and document these tasks, so they appreciate how Performance Check-Ins establish a reliable cadence to facilitate that management action.
Beginning Monday, June 16, every Monday, frontline managers and reps will receive Performance Check-In Emails communicating last week's performance for individual reps. Frontline managers and reps will also see "New Check-In(s) To Review" on their Atrium homepage.

Why Performance Check-Ins Matter
Sales organizations often struggle with:
- Irregular feedback cycles
- Inconsistent performance tracking
- Lack of visibility into ongoing performance trends
Performance Check-Ins solves these challenges by creating a systematic, transparent process for managers and sales representatives to engage with performance data regularly.
What Performance Check-Ins Do
Performance Check-Ins automatically capture a snapshot of each rep’s performance every week.
This snapshot not only compares performance against weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals, but also includes relevant insights on priority metrics—both default and custom—that might not have specific goals associated with them.
Additionally, an email alert is sent every Monday morning to remind managers and reps to review the previous week’s performance and complete their Performance Check-In.
It is important to note that Performance Check-Ins, while viewable for leaders and other sales support functions, are specifically built for frontline managers and reps in the Atrium interface. If you are a leader, in sales enablement, or revenue operations you will not see the "review latest check-in" functionality.
Key Benefits of Performance Check-Ins
- Consistency: By setting a regular cadence for check-ins, managers and reps are more likely to engage with performance data regularly.
- Accountability and Transparency: The feature creates an inspectable record of each check-in, ensuring that both managers and reps (and HR) can look back at past discussions, track how long an issue has been a focus, and maintain alignment.
- Improved Performance: Regular check-ins help identify trends, address issues promptly, and celebrate successes, ultimately leading to better performance outcomes.
- Leadership Confidence: Leaders gain confidence that managers are actively engaging in performance management. The inspectable record of check-ins provides an accountability mechanism that ensures these crucial activities are happening regularly, keeping everyone honest and focused.
How to Use Performance Check-Ins
- Weekly Snapshots: Every week, Atrium generates a snapshot of the previous week’s performance, including goals and other priority metrics. These snapshots are delivered to frontline managers and reps directly via email.
- Historical Record: Over time, these snapshots create a valuable history of performance discussions, making it easy to see how long specific topics have been addressed and what feedback has been provided.
- Manager Review and Commentary: Managers review the snapshot, check off that they’ve inspected the data, and can record comments on any discussions or observations.
- Rep Review: Reps also review the snapshot and confirm their understanding, ensuring alignment.
